One of Joe's objectives to travel to Mars was to test his innacte abilities acquired through eugenics. Different from the rest of the crew, Joseph didn't need to transform to battle the Martian roaches He just made use of his physical strenght, his sword and his inteligence to foresee outcomes. With all of these, he has been capable of slashing hundreds of roaches on his own when the rest of the crew had a hard time on a one-on-one battle. Joe knows this and that's why he smiles everytime he fights. He tested successfully his top physical form and confirmed that he's special, the top human ever being born!!! <3
